Indian Travelers

Indian citizen holder do not need any visa to visit Bhutan. There are two option to get in Bhutan, by Druk Air and by land.

Druk Air (The national airline of Bhutan) are connected to following sectors
The Bhutan’s only international airport at Paro, is located at a height of 7300 ft above sea level and surrounded by mountains and hills as high as 16,000 feet. Druk Air (The national airline of Bhutan) are connected to Delhi, Kolkata, Bodh Gaya, Dacca,Guwahati, Bagdogra (India), Dacca (Bangladesh), Kathmandu (Nepal) and Bangkok. You can make xerox copy of your documents and precede your entry permit. Your permit will be endorsed by the immigration officers upon your arrival at airport. Once you reached Thimphu ( The capital city of Bhutan), our office will obtain route permit for other districts like Punakha, Wangdiphodrang, Trongsa, Bumthang, etc.

By Land

  • Bagdropra ( Airport ) to Phuentsholing. (5 hrs drive, approximately 180 km)
  • Silguri NJP rail way station to Phuentsholing ( Its around 5 hrs drive, approximately 175 km)
  • Darjeeling Hill station to Phuentsholing ( Its around 6 hrs drive, approximately 200 km)
  • Gangtok to Phuentsholing (Its 7 hrs drive, approximately 225 km)
  • Kalipong to Phuentsholing ( its 6 hrs drive, approximately 190km)

Entry point
The main india – Bhutan border town is phuentsholing ( Bhutan ) and Jaigoen ( India). The Bhutan immigration office is at entry point at main gate in phuentsholing. You need your passport/ voter card and two passpot photos. Make xerox copy of your documents and precede your entry permit. You will obtain your permit within an hour. Phuntsholing town is located approximately 175 km east of the Indian from national airport Bagdogra. Phuntsholing is main hub for business between Bhutan and India. It takes around 7 hours (180 kms) to drive Thimphu, the capital city.

Route permit
Except Districts like Phuentsholing, Paro and Thimphu you no need route permit but res all 17 districts you have to obtained ruote permit. Once you reached Thimphu ( The capital city of Bhutan), our office will obtain route permit for other districts .

Guide and trasportation
Our guides are licensed by the Department of Tourism. They are fluent in English, has broad outlook and well experienced in their respective fields. Maximum guides in Bhutan can speak Hindi laso. All cars we provide either Japanese hyundai or Korean Kia, we provide luxury cars only.

Hotels in Bhutan
Hotels in Bhutan are categories in 2-3 star. These hotels cannot be compared with international hotels but all offer the necessary facilities and are properly maintained. There are 5 star hotels ( Taj Tasi, Aman, Coma uma, Densa, Termalingkha, Zhiwaling, etc ) are available in Thimphu, Punakha, Phobjikha, Bumthang and Paro.

The hotels used for tourist in Bhutan are approved by the Department of Tourism. The hotels standard varies from place to place and the standard tends to get more basic towards central and eastern Bhutan. Most of the hotels have attached bathrooms with western style toilet pots and hot shower. Most western tourists seem to like the accommodations which have a very colorful Bhutanese architecture.
